Extreme Lengths Productions (XL) is a DC-based arts collaborative under the leadership of Ben Levine that focuses on technology-driven and movement-based performance, creating unconventional theatrical performance experiences with design at the core. Recent performances include “Over/Under,” an immersive performance experience that enveloped audiences into a large-scale scenic environment (The Voxel, 2023); “LENS,” a series of works viewed through various technological means (REACH at the Kennedy Center, 2021); “People Watching,” a performance viewed through binoculars, co-produced with CulturalDC (2021); “Filament,” a light and performance installation viewed through a peephole (Georgetown GLOW 2019); and “I made this dance and nobody cares but you,” a series of performances experienced by a single audience member at a time (Dance Place, 2019).
