Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Commitment
Extreme Lengths Productions (XL) embraces an ethics of inclusion and anti-racism. We vow to be an inclusive, anti-racist organization where the diverse identities and backgrounds of artists and audiences are celebrated. XL commits to centering the voices of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and artists with disabilities in our mission to create collaborative performances where technology, movement, and design are at the core.
Extreme Lengths Productions’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access commitment is to:
Provide equal and better pay for artists.
Hire individuals based on artistic potential over training and experience, prioritizing the artistry of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and artists with disabilities.
Commit to providing opportunities for young or emerging artists of color and young or emerging artists with disabilities.
Commit to listing gender pronouns whenever artist names are listed.
Contribute to national, field-wide conversations on dance and disability through participation in the Dance/USA Deaf & Disability Affinity Group.
Evaluate the ways immersive and non-seated theater can combat ableism and be more accessible to all audiences.
